Q – What is a Pallet Party/DIY Workshop?

​

A – Much like the paint parties you are always hearing about you will be creating your very own piece of artwork.  But instead of painting a picture on a canvas, we are creating rustic wood signs perfect for home decor. You decide what design you’d like to create ahead of time and we will help you make it while you’re at the party.  You get to take your creation home with you after the party! Note: We dont actually use old wood pallets for our pallet parties, it is new wood. The name just has a nice ring!;)

Q – How many people can we have at a party?

​

A – Minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10.

​

Q – Where are the parties held?

​

A – All private parties are held at the hostesses house. Public parties will vary locations and will be announced ahead of time .  

​

Q – How much does it cost?

​

A – Depending on the size and style of the sign you choose. Most choose the $50 option for their group which allows them to pick between an 18x22 and 14x26 size sign. Kids signs range from $15- $30 (per sign) for kids parties.

​

Q – Is this only for adults?

​

A – No! I have smaller signs that are perfect for children. I can work with you to create the perfect design options for a children’s party!

 

Q – Are there any benefits for the hostess?

​

A – For parties with at least 5 guests (in addition to the hostess), the hostess will get her sign for free!

​

Q – How do we book a date?

​

A – Contact us for available dates! From there we will send you a link to pay a deposit.( This is for the hostess ONLY.) After you receive the link you will pay for your deposit at checkout.The deposit reserves the date and will be refunded back to you the day of the party. If you need a special date, or have questions about a date, please contact me.

If you do not meet the minimum of 5 people (not including the hostess), your party will be cancelled and the deposit will be forfeited. If at least 5 orders are not submitted ONE WEEK prior to your party, we reserve the right to cancel your party and your deposit will be forfeited. If you cancel the party for any reason, the deposit will be forfeited.

 

Q – How do we choose what design to make?

A – Find a sign on etsy or pinterest that you have always wanted to make and we will go from there. It may vary slightyly due to copyright and/or time restraints.

Q – How do we make our selection?

​

A – You will need to pre-order your selection by purchasing it on our website.  Please pay close attention to the details in the listing for what you will need to include in your order, as many signs are customized with names or dates. Please include a picture of the sign you are wanting to make if you are doing a custom design and any additional comments. Also a phone number to reach you at in case there are questions.You must include your hostess' name to complete checkout.

Q – Can we have a customized party?

A – Yes! That is what a private party is for! We can customize your options if there is a particular theme or sign that your party would like to create.

Q-Do you need to pick colors ahead of time?

​

A- No. We have every color you can imagine you can choose colors at the party.  

​

Q- Can we do any other sizes than what is listed?

​

A- It will depend on what is available. Please contact us to arrange this and to get pricing before ordering.

​

Q – Why do we have to preorder?

​

A – Every stencil is made to order.  This means that we must have enough time to print the stencils for the whole party before you arrive.  This is very important to ensure that your party is a success!  This is part of the hostess’ responsibility to make sure that all orders are in and to keep in contact with the Signs of Summer representative.

Q – How do we pay for our sign?

​

A – You will pay on the website by pre-ordering your selection.  Once you pay for your sign, the stencil will be printed.

​

Q – What is the deadline to pre-order?

​

A – The deadline is one week prior to your party.

​

Q – What if I already ordered but can’t make it? Can I get a refund on my sign?

​

A – Unfortunately, there are no refunds for Pallet Parties.  However, we can make arrangements to make your sign for you and you can pick it up at our location.

​

Q – What is your party cancellation policy?

​

A – Because our dates are limited, we must take a deposit to reserve your party. This deposit WILL be refunded at the completion of the party. If you do not meet the minimum of 5 people, your party will be cancelled and the deposit will be forfeited. If at least 5 orders are not submitted ONE WEEK prior to your party, we reserve the right to cancel your party and your deposit will be forfeited. If you cancel the party for any reason, the deposit will be forfeited.

 

Q – How do we create our pallet sign?

​

A – Signs of Summer will provide a pre-printed stencil and all the supplies you'll need.  You will be given all the instruction needed to create your one-of-a-kind sign!

​

Q-Do you need to have experience?

​

A- No. We will teach you everything you need to know to create a beautiful piece.

​

Q- What do I need to wear?

​

A- We have aprons for everyone, but please remember that we are using PAINT and that means it could get on you!

​

Q- How long does the party take?

​

A- This depends on your group. The average is about 2-3 hours.

​

Q – Can we bring food and drinks to the party?

​

A – ABSOLUTELY!  There will be time between painting the base coat and painting the design when you can chat and snack.  Feel free to bring food for your guests or arrange a potluck with your group.
